Who We Are

Holtram TLPI Ltd is a UK-registered firm specialising in SSAS pensions, business tax, and property investment for company directors. We have been advising directors since 2004 and are HMRC Registered as a Scheme Administrator (A0140182), authorised to act as a professional pension scheme administrator for HMRC Registered Pension Schemes under Finance Act 2004.

The firm trades as “TLPI” for its full advisory services at tlpi.co.uk, and as ssaspension.co.uk on this site for its independent SSAS education work.

Why We Built ssaspension.co.uk

Most SSAS information online is either too sales-driven or written for advisers, not directors. ssaspension.co.uk is our independent education resource — plain-English guides, calculators, and decision tools that help company directors understand whether a SSAS is the right pension structure for them, with no obligation to engage TLPI as a Scheme Administrator.

The site exists because TLPI’s view is simple: directors who understand the rules ask better questions, choose better providers, and run better schemes — whether they ultimately work with us or not.

What We Do at TLPI

Editorial Standards

All content on ssaspension.co.uk is produced and reviewed by Holtram TLPI’s SSAS team. Every article published under our name on this site meets the following standards:

• Independence. No article on this site receives payment, promotion, or any form of consideration from a pension provider, investment platform, or financial product supplier. Recommendations to consider a SSAS are based on the rules and whether a director’s circumstances fit them — not on commercial relationships.
• Accuracy over opinion. Claims about HMRC rules, SSAS regulations, and tax allowances are based on primary sources: HMRC guidance, Finance Act 2004, The Pensions Regulator’s published codes, and current Finance Bill updates. Where a position is uncertain or contested, the article says so.
• No kickbacks from product providers. Holtram TLPI is paid by directors for scheme administration work. We are not paid by any fund manager, investment platform, or insurance company for directing SSAS assets towards their products. Articles on this site contain no affiliate links or commission-generating referrals.
• Freshness. Every article carries a “last reviewed” date. If the rules change materially, the article is updated within the same tax quarter and the date is updated.
